If you go back in time a decade, the biggest trend in health and wellness was veganism.
There were various blogs, influencers, doctors, and brands that all staked their claim on a plant based diet being the ultimate diet for human health.
The zenith of this was the documentary “Gamechangers” which featured the most logically broken arguments imaginable arguing for veganism, and was pure propaganda slop.
Its funny to look back in time, because prior to the rise Trump, MAGA, and the extreme partisan polarization of Amercian politics, the most vicious and cruel arguments I ever saw happen online were between those of militant vegans and various paleo and carnivore advocates.
The “Diet wars” were a real phenomenon in the fitness industry in the early to mid 2010s.
Now its all been largely forgotten.
The major influencers all renounced veganism due to health issues
The brands are dying
Eat an Omnivorous Diet WON
I always knew it would. Vegans and vegetarians simply cannot be taken seriously from an evolutionary science or practical perspective.
Ive traveled the world. Ive been to India, where the majority of people are vegetarian leaning and eat minimal protein.
Ive been to Korea, and the Scandinavian countries, where people eat copious amounts of meat and dairy.
WITHOUT QUESTION, ANIMAL PROTEIN RESULTS IN HEALTHIER PEOPLE
The nutrient deficiencies that compound over a lifetime are obvious when you visit a place like India.
The nutrient abundance that produces healthy bodies are obvious when you go to a country like Finland.
Travel around the world, and the patterns of health become obvious.
Weston Price Identified all this 100 years ago in the book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration-the human body needs a full spectrum of nutrients and non processed foods for healthy oral development and a strong body.
Where does that leave Beef?
To be clear, I am not advocating for carnivore diet. Nor am I saying that red meat is the ONLY protein source you should consume.
Rather, I make the point that for nutritious, full spectrum nutrition, red meat and dairy is about as perfect as a food source that you could conceive.
And beyond food, the paradigm shift that I have been amazed by the past decade has been the increased appreciation for not just “eating meat”, but a recognition of how plants and animals are raised, and the stewardship of the food chain itself and what it means for civilization.
That’s the context for this next part.
We started using Equip Protein a few years ago. When I say we, I mean my wife. Preethi is very health conscious and has never liked whey protein. She always felt it digested too fast and wasnt satiating.
She’s also very dialed into the recent trend towards more glycine balanced amino acid intake. That led to her buying Equip.
Truthfully, I didnt notice this at first. My wife does the shopping, not me. It wasnt until I noticed the texture and satiety of the protein shakes had changed that I realized she was using a different brand.
It was Equip. And it tasted REALLY GOOD.
Equips flagship product is Prime Protein, which is grass-fed beef protein: 21 grams of complete protein per scoop, with naturally occurring collagen and gelatin.
They also have the collagen, which I use religiously. And bars. Which our kids like. And colostrum (overlooked for digestive health)
I am not telling you to live on powder, but Equip is the cleanest and best tasting animal-based protein powder I have found, built on the premise that the animal is the nutrient-dense item.
If you want to try it, use this link / code: AJAC
That’s an affiliate link FUYI. I make a commission if you buy. I would not put it here if I thought the product was generic slop with better branding.
Eat real food. Eat the animal. Eat like a healthy human should.

You love to see it!
As a marketer that often works with brands in the animal-based and regenerative ag spaces, I've had to keep up with industry developments and whatnot, and it has given me a much stronger appreciation for the entire supply chain.
I'm much more aware of how the animal goes from, well, animal to the steak on my plate. And I now have more financial means to get the good stuff
