Skincare Experiment
Going all in on the peptides, because why not
This is not a lengthy analysis, but simply sharing some products I am trying. (and full disclosure, these are from Elite Research, whom I have an affiliate relationship with)
For context, I am 36, and to date Ive never done ANYTHING specific for skin health beyond showering, using soap, and striving to get regular sunlight.
Thats essentially it.
Ive never had a set skin care routine for my face of any kind with products.
The past few years I have traveled extensively internationally, stress from familial and professional obligations has been greater, and I definitely noted I looked older in the face.
To be clear, I am not one of those people whose goal is to look forever young and reverse age like Im 25 again, or give a damn about being carded
or thinks 50 will be the new 30. Its not. 50 is 50. You can be a good looking 50, or an old 50.
Ive looked “older'“ since I was a teenager, I routinely was mistaken for being in my 30s when I was in my 20s. I strangely started getting silver hair when I was 23 (Ive never worked out why metabolically, I know there must be some innate biochemistry genetic error, but Ive never found a clear answer). Looking older has never bothered me.
That said, it did get me thinking, finally, that maybe I should do something specific for my facial skin health.
Which as it happened, Elite Research released both of these about a month ago, and I decided to start using them.
GLOW 2.0 Serum and Radi8 Cream
Ive been asked many times, “what do these do exactly?”
This is the simple breakdown
GLOW 2.0 is a facial serum.
It contains BPC157, TB500, GHKCU, KPV, Hyaluronic acid, and a very small amount of DMSO to improve absorption. Basically a KLOW formula in topical form. You can read my past articles to learn more about these.
This combination, when used topically, increases epidermal skin healing. It improves collagen structure. It makes your skin look brighter.
Is this going to make me look YOUNGER in 3 weeks?
Probably not. But thats not my expectation.
Skin health takes TIME. And the aging of your skin is more predicated on minimizing stressors and keeping it hydrated over the course of your life. Its not miracle products.
That said, I LOVE this product. And according to the members of my broscience community, it seems to be working, as I keep getting feedback of “your skin looks really good!” in all the videos I share.
But thats not the only thing Ive been using
The other is Radi8, which is a cream
Radi8s premiere ingredient is called Snap8. Snap-8 is Acetyl Octapeptide-3. Its a small protein fragment (peptide) that helps smooth wrinkles by temporarily relaxing facial muscles involved in repetitive expressions like frowning or squinting. You can think of it as a gentler, topical version of Botox, designed for skincare use rather than injection.
How it Works
On a cellular level, muscle contractions rely on neurotransmitters, the chemical signals that tell muscles to tighten. Snap-8 interferes with part of this signaling process known as the SNARE complex, which controls how these chemical messengers are released. By loosening this communication system, Snap-8 reduces how strongly facial muscles contract. The result is less tension at wrinkle-prone spots, giving skin a smoother, more relaxed appearance over time.
Radi8 also contains vitamin C, vitamin E, Vitamin B, hylauronic and kojic acid. Vitamin C and E neutralize oxidative stress and improve collagen structure, while B vitamins restore the skin barrier, hyaluronic acid hydrates the epidermis, and kojic acid lightens dark spots.
Why am I using this?
Because I am one of those people with a highly expressive face, I am like a Southern Italian in this regard. As your facial muscles attach directly to skin, your frequent expressions over time compound and create the pattern of wrinkles.
While I dont mind having wrinkles, I also would like to look youthful. One lesson I learned from the actor Jeremy Irons (and I wish I could find the clip) is the power of using ones voice and controlling expression in the face, which controls emotional modulation as well.
That said, I use the Radi8, and alternate it with the GLOW. I always apply one or the other after showering, and I often showering twice a day, they both get used daily on most days.

Does this mean you don't use sunscreen? If not why not?
