One of my favorite posts. Belongs in the AJAC Hall of Fame:

“I will be blunt and say people with arguments about the purity of FORM all come from basic bitch men whom I dont take seriously as human beings.”

Thank you!

There is strength training and there is velocity training, 2 sides of the same coin. I do love lifting heavy shit but I’m not getting any younger and admittedly I’ve been neglecting velocity 😞

I saw so many dough boys and even women commenting negatively on this with the video of only his 44th and to failure rep on Instagram-Threads (the most dreadful of all social media). I saw one guy post a video of him doing 5 reps - which clearly was the max he could do - of 205 on the bench and saying "Pete H, this is how you do it" and then a female doing 3 reps of what looked to be 75 and saying the same thing. Luckily they were met with at least a few comments of post your video of 44 reps of 135. All of these people do not realize (or rather willfully igore) that these military workouts are endurance sets (cardio + strength), rather than pure strength sets as you are more likely to be taxed with lighter weight objects but over a long period of time in your job - and not picking a heavy load up once or twice. Also, half these people if they do lift or workout, probably look at crossfit and say well that's fine.

"...the raped male leaves..." classic and meme-worthy. <chuckles>

Internet side-critique aside...it *was* damn interesting that as SecDef got toward 40 ish he slowed down (of fkn course lol) but he also went into full extension.

My amateur guess is that he was leveraging the less-exhausted part of the muscle/extension path. He squeezed every last drop out. Nice to watch.

Lift intuitively and you can't go wrong. Move mass. If not sufficiently fatigued, repeat.

The critics are people who have never found any enjoyment in sweating and have thus never been able to satisfy their partners.
